Conglomeracy

CONGLOMERACY

A corporatocracy lead by the Board, a group of CEOs that control a massive commercial enterprise that has completely supplanted the role of the state. While the Board comes together to collectively govern their society they are far from cooperative with one another, with feuding and corporate espionage a common factor in the day-to-day political deliberations.

Cheong Armaments

Cheong Armaments is the most successful and most prolific corporate entity this side of the Araard Expanse. With a corporate portfolio that includes arms dealing, TARGE production and private security contracts, Cheong Armaments holds a very powerful position among the Conglomeracy’s leadership. Coupling this with Cheong Armaments particularly close ties to the Conglomeracy’s private army of Enforcers, Mr. Cheong’s place among the CEOs is absolute.

Aspire

Aspire is the foremost, and only, media and telecommunications company established on Terranuo. Only the citizens of the Conglomeracy are provided access to such things as social media and televised entertainment, if only for the single purpose of placating the impoverished masses. Aspire sells the populace the idea of “Working for a better life” and “You can achieve anything in the Conglomeracy”. Keeping the populace supressed by selling the belief that anyone, regardless of their current circumstances, where they were born or what class they were born into, can attain success. Acantha enjoys a moderate amount of power among the Conglomeracy’s board members, with the power to sway and spread information to the masses, it’s a good idea to stay on Acantha’s good side.

Kepplier Pharmaceuticals

Kepplier Pharmaceuticals was founded by Dr. Sebastian Kepplier for the express purpose of helping to heal a battered and war-torn humanity. Gathering his closest colleagues to his side, Sebastian spent the majority of his life developing life saving cures and remedies. Kepplier Pharmaceuticals aided many while under the leadership of Sebastian, helping to create unrestricted healthcare programs and establish public hospitals. On his deathbed many years later he was heralded a hero. Arnold, his eldest son, took on the mantle of leadership the day his father died, and the very next, he privatised his company. Once a source of free, lifesaving treatment, now Kepplier Pharmaceuticals saves only those that can afford to pay.

Empire Energy

The successor to his father’s energy empire, a people’s person. Loved by the public, yet despised by the corporations. A clinical genius and incredible statesman. Tussles with Cheong armaments frequently in a constant economic cold-war. He expects the utmost efficiency and work ethic from his employees and business partners. He worked together with the late Mr. Kepplier to invent cures and more affordable medicine.

Conneger’s

Specializing in a wide range of budget products for consumers, Conneger’s caters to a large range of clientele. So while Conneger’s products are flimsy, provide little nourishment and are wholly unspectacular at what they do, they do possess the most important quality of all, they’re cheap. Mass production of home brand quality products has put Conneger’s into every industry in the Conglomeracy, and the heart-warming smile of Auntie Conneger that adorns each of their products is a mainstay in the homes of the lower class. Andre Cordova, the current CEO of Conneger’s, is young, bright and plays the game of corporate chess well. With his opening move being the hostile takeover of Conneger’s from Anita ‘Auntie’ Conneger, the other Board members would be wise to watch their step around him.
